Visit the world renownedDilwara Jain Temple, Nakki Lake and Brahmin Kumari Ashram. Dilwara Temple is aassemblage of incredible Jain temples. Two temples among these are those in which the art of carving marble has reached unparalleledpinnacles. The older of the temples is the ‘VimalVasahi’, built in 1031 and dedicated to the first tirthankar, Adinath. In the front of the temple stands the ‘House of Elephants’, with figures of elephants marching in pageant to the temple entrance. The carving is so fine that, in places, the marble becomes almost clear as crystal. Nakki Lake is virtually set in the heart of Mount Abu and is a big lure with travelers. The lake takes its name from the fable that it was lifted out by a god, using only his nails. While taking a saunter along the lake, look for the strange rock foundations. On the lake there is a derelict concrete boat-shaped snack bar.
